The Boots to Boots organization is a non-profit veterans mentorship program designed to give our returning military veterans the opportunity to have an intimate look into the fire service as a potential career.  We are a federally tax-exempt organization with 501c3 public charity classification.  The objectives of Boots to Boots are the following:

* To assist military veterans’ transition to fire fighting careers in civilian life

 * To assist military veterans in identifying and understanding the value of skills and life experience obtained in the military and how these skills and experiences may be applied in the civilian world

 * To minimize entry barriers for military veterans in the firefighting career hiring process

 * To increase the skill level of fire departments by making the best possible candidates available

  • Mike Worthy – Past President, Bank of Clark County

“Dear Boots to Boots,

I would first like to say that this program is an outstanding idea and would only wish that other fire departments around the country would participate in this organization. I am a Marine combat veteran who has recently become interested in becoming a Firefighter. I too had seen the similarities of being a Firefighter and a Military Service Member. I just want to say thank you again for opening up this opportunity for veterans, especially with the difficulties of relating civilian jobs to those of us in the combat MOS communities.”
